Welcome to CMX1-on-1, our employee spotlight series where we sit down with the brightest minds behind the vision, innovation, and client success of CMX1.
Today, we’re chatting with Meagan Jurick, Sr. Product Manager, GTM at CMX1. With nearly a decade of experience across Customer Success and Solutions Architecture, Meagan brings a unique, field-tested perspective to the product team. Her deep-rooted understanding of the daily challenges faced by operators and auditors fuels her passion for building intuitive, "human-first" solutions.
In this Q&A, Meagan shares her journey from the front lines to product management, the "game-changing" evolution of ActivityStudio, and how CMX1 is embedding AI into the platform to empower users with operational "superpowers."
Almost everything has changed, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I started in Customer Success, which was foundational. Being in the field with customers—seeing them use our solutions in restaurants, retail, and manufacturing—deepened my appreciation for their daily challenges. These are people managing food safety, quality checks, and supplier compliance; the last thing they need is software that adds complexity.
From there, I moved into a Solutions Architect role, helping customers solve tricky configurations and working with the product team to shape new features. That’s when I realized I loved the product side of the house. Now, as a Product Manager, I translate that real-world experience into features that make a difference. Even after a decade, hearing how a tool we built made someone’s workday easier is still my favorite part of the job.
The creation and launch of ActivityStudio is at the top of the list. It was an incredible opportunity to imagine, from the ground up, what a best-in-class tool for digitizing operational standards could look like. We hit some amazing milestones: building multi-language support (we now support over 36 languages!), launching native mobile apps with full offline capabilities, and developing our drag-and-drop visual form builder. Seeing brands adopt ActivityStudio and call it a “game changer” for their operations made all the hard work worth it.
I love simplicity. Our customers are busy—field operators, auditors, and restaurant managers don’t have time for unnecessary clicks. My favorite problem to solve is: How do we take something complex and make it feel effortless? Whether it’s streamlining a workflow or rethinking a dashboard, I want to eliminate friction. If I can save someone 30 seconds on a task they do 50 times a week, I’m giving them back hours of their life.
AI, without question. Our customers want to know how artificial intelligence can help them work smarter. We’re building use cases that are genuinely exciting—like an auditor receiving real-time, AI-generated issue descriptions and root cause suggestions during an inspection. It elevates every user to an "expert" level of documentation. It all ties back to one theme: helping users spend less time on admin tasks and more time serving their own customers.
AI is a genuine part of my daily toolkit for mockups, research, and pressure-testing ideas. I think of it as a coworker who is always available to brainstorm. For our customers, the potential is massive because we aren’t just using AI as a buzzword; we’re embedding it into their daily workflows. It’s a force multiplier for operational excellence, giving a quality director with 50 locations the same depth of insight as one with 5,000.
Our next generation of the product, which we’ve been calling vNext. Our team has been heads-down for over two years, pouring every piece of customer feedback into this version. It’s faster, cleaner, and more intuitive. I truly believe vNext will set a new standard for operational excellence software.
I’m a big believer in learning from the community. I follow many product-focused creators on social media and YouTube who share insights into UI/UX trends and human-first design. And, of course, I use AI tools like Claude daily for everything from product research to creative problem-solving.
I’m all about balance. I love pilates, yoga, and the sauna to keep my mind and body sharp. I also love unplugging on long hikes or traveling to experience new cultures. And on a summer Friday night? You’ll find me on a great patio with a cold cocktail and nowhere to be!
